MED All Stars Win NAHSE Tournament

The MED All Stars met healthy competition and came out victorious in a recent basketball tournament that pitted teams from area hospitals against each other.  The MED All Stars are champions of the 3rd Annual NAHSE- Memphis Chapter Tournament. NAHSE (National Association of Health Services Executives) holds the event to bring local hospitals together for a friendly competition while raising money to support the local chapter scholarship fund and other local charities.

The MED All Stars defeated last year’s tournament winner Methodist University in the first round; Methodist North in the semi-final match up; and St. Francis in the Championship game.

Team members are from departments across the system. The team recruited special guest coaches for this tournament – Robert Sumter, Executive Vice President and COO of Regional Medical Center at Memphis, and Dr. Patrick Malone, Medical Director of Health Loop Primary Care Network.
