The MED is home to the nation’s most gifted and sought-after medical professionals. We are the Mid-South’s finest teaching hospital where over half of all medical professionals in Tennessee have completed at least part of their training. We are home to a nationally acclaimed trauma center. We have become a recognized leader in medical education through our affiliation with the University of Tennessee medical school at Memphis. Our facilities consist of approximately 335 inpatient beds with eight Centers of Excellence, as well as an ambulatory care site with over 50 areas of specialty.
