Our Cardiac Cath Lab division is staffed with Cardiologists who are trained to perform minimally invasive cardiac procedures. These physicians also use small catheters to navigate the blood vessels in your heart. When problems are found this group uses angioplasty and stenting procedures. Angioplasty involves using a very small balloon to expand open to help fix the problem. Stenting involves using a fine metal mesh to open the problem area. Stents are routinely used in the arteries that supply blood to the heart.
Our Cardiologists also insert pacemakers, perform echocardiography exams and perform cardiac stress tests.
