All too often, complications can arise during pregnancy. Age, diabetes, hypertension, and other factors contribute to these complications. It is for this reason that the High-Risk Obstetrics Center is an invaluable asset to the community.
Each year, the center successfully delivers nearly 5,000 babies, 25 percent of them considered high-risk. The center receives 1,500 referrals annually due to complications in pregnancy. The facility has all the comforts of home, as well as the sophisticated equipment necessary to handle complications during delivery.
Giancarlo Mari, M.D., is the Medical Director for the High-Risk Obstetrics.
